Purpose

Smalltalk is an exploratory environment.  Much more so than other programming languages.  For newbies it is not so much a matter of just finding answers as it is learning how to fish.

The catch however is that by the time someone progresses to the point they are confident to contribute documentation back to the community, they have been changed by what has been learnt.  It can be hard to remember what you didn’t know when you started.

The aim here is to provide a halfway house between expert tutorial content and the interactive learning from mailing lists, chats, forums and directly exploring the system.   It can be considered a form of diary where reflection on newly learnt concepts should help bed them down.  The aim is to not just summarise what is learnt, but how it was learnt and also some misteps along the way.

Anyway, we’ll see how it goes.
